ALL ABOUT ME

Professional Tour Guide

As an 8th generation Israeli, I am a true sabra rooted in this beautiful and complicated place. I started guiding youth hiking groups in Israel at the age of 16 and after years of travelling and guiding around the world I became a licensed tour guide in Israel in 2007. I lead tours in English, French and Turkish for all kinds of groups: businesspeople, families and students, younger and older, from all religions and with different interests. I believe that in addition to knowledge of places, history and culture, my flexibility as a tour guide is the one crucial component to make your visit to Israel special and tailored to your needs. I live in Jerusalem and focus on tours in the old and modern parts of the city as well as the desert around it, but I am more than happy to help design your trip around other parts of Israel, too. Have a look at the pictures below. I love my job!

* The last picture is of my most recent and most important group - my son Yonatan.

FROM THE CITY TO THE DESERT MASADA AND THE DEAD SEA

The minute you leave Jerusalem to the east you are in the Judea desert. Keep going for 30 more minutes and you see the wonder of the Dead sea. In this tour, we explore the fascinating site of Masada, relax on the dead sea and understand the importance of fresh water for living in the desert in the beautiful desert oasis of Ein Gedi.

YAD VASHEM AND MOUNT HERZL

One can learn a lot about a nation from its cemeteries - Mount Herzl offers a visit to two unique sites in Israel – Yad vashem holocaust memorial museum and Har Herzl national cemetery.
We begin our tour with the Yad Vashem holocaust memorial museum which unlike other holocaust museums, does not come to shock you but rather to educate you. This incredible museum focuses on the Jewish life that was lost. Together with the beautiful memorials that surround it, it gives the visitor a powerful experience.
From here we continue through the connecting path to the top of the hill which is Israel’s national cemetery - Har Herzl.  Here we visit the tombs of men and women that gave their life for the creation of the state of Israel and through their stories understand more about Israel’s struggle for a state. We walk by unique memorials that teach us about special events and communities in the modern history of the State of Israel. We shall end the tour at the tombs of great men such as Rabin, Peres and Herzl who dedicated their lives to make Israel what it is.
